HOVEY GULLY STOMPERS Blue Grass Band Country music has swung full circle in the past two years and has finally given a nod to it's roots. With the huge success of the O'Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack and the Down From The Mountain tour, bluegrass has hit the mainstream. Where is Hovey Gully in relation to all this you might ask. Way upstream near the springs mouth has been the longtime home of the Hovey Gully Stompers. It's a breakneck bluegrass band that burns through familiar traditionals and fun originals and leaves them smokin' as if they've been struck by lightning. The notes gush out in torrents as they pick and reel through outbacks of the Applachian Northeast. The band is an entertaining crew with a strong sense of barnyard fun that'll get your goat everytime.
